Booker T. Washington was a great American. He rose Up From Slavery to inspire millions with his message of hope & opportunity thru good character and education.

He was a visionary. He saw an America that would move beyond segregation and that our nation could heal.

He was purposeful; the inspiration for our dedication to help students of character become leaders with integrity.

The Society awards BTW Ambassador Scholarships for collegiate, trade or vocational education. We encourage students to pursue studies in science, technology, engineering, math and/or business.

This year, the Society is developing a series of one-day workshops to be conducted in cities around the country and developing a local mentoring program to support and encourage BTW high school and college Ambassadors to stay on track through the often difficult transition period from home & school to independent college living as young adults.
